    i still have several tubes of a charcoal based toothpaste that i will use up rather than toss, but i think i've found my main go-to tooth cleaaner. It was on this site i learned about the pH issues of water also being counter productive on a healthy clean mouth. I I like that you don't need to wet your brush - in fact i would NOT recommend it as it would likely pick up way too much powder. A little bit really goes a long way. The container seems a little smaller than i thought it might be, but considering how far this powder will go, i don't see running out for a long time.

    Sometimes i even will wet a fingertip and dip it in the powder for a quick mouth refresher. I figure i'm the only one using the container so no accusations of 'double dipping' or contamination to deal with.

    I began using Frau Fowler Power Mint about 3 years ago and have become a real fan. When I used other toothpastes I noticed that they made me cough and need to clear my throat. It felt like an allergic reaction. With Frau Fowler I have no reaction at all and it cleans very, very well. It's nice to find a product that feels healthier to use and with a great taste.

    I wish I would have understood the benefits of salt years ago! To think of just the transformation I have seen the past couple months using this tooth company, it has been a huge game changer for myself. I also love that I have the opportunity to educate my kids now in their oral health before they become adults. Frau Fowler is in our bathroom and our childrens’, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!

    We quit using major brands of toothpaste more than 8 years ago. I ordered Frau Fowler oral care and haven't even looked for another. I didn't know at that time how good it really is. You know you have to try something before you honestly can post how good it is. But I can tell you that after you try this oral care you too will never change. You get fast service when you order it. Plus it's nice to have your dentist ask what whiting product are you using ? And you tell him Frau Fowler and he says I never heard of that whiting product and you tell him it's oral care not one of those bleaching trays. Now he really liking it cause our teeth are getting whiter. We are in late 60's and 70 and our teeth look great ! So order it and you will never go back to name brand tooth paste.Then you can write a post and brag about Frau Fowler like I am.

    Switching to powder from paste was the best decision for my oral health. Toothpaste was so bad for my mouth. I just didn't know how bad until I started using a powder. Then I found Frau Fowler tooth powder! This is the best tooth powder I've used and since the first time using this powder, I never went back to the previous powder that I was using. The feel of this powder is so much better because of the consistency. The other powders seemed to be "sharper"; not sure how to describe it but the grain was different from the other powder I was using. I guess it's better that I used a different powder before this one so that I could have something with which I could compare and see that the Frau Fowler powder is better. I have recommended this to friends and family. In fact, I got some for my parents.

I took too long to order when I needed too and had to go back to using my regular toothpaste for a few days - gross! I could totally tell the difference in how my teeth felt and the taste just wasn't as pleasant as my tooth powder.

    I had some of the samples y’all sent out. I finally tried them after a month. Wow my gums don’t hurt , my teeth don’t hurt = both stopped ASAP . The vary second I touched my teeth the pain went away. I have gingivitis and I’ve had it for about 30 years. I’ve never ever had something work so fast or so quick and just kept working I don’t even use my regular toothpaste. I don’t feel my teeth shift like they used to I’ve not had to use mouthwash which is a big miracle. I totally swear about this stuff I’ve not been to my dentist since I started using this but I can’t wait to let him know how much my pain has went away and I actually love to brush my teeth. Yes, it tastes a little salty... because there is salt in it and the salt is good for your mouth!     I waited about 2 weeks before coming to leave a review of this product. At first, the strong salt taste was very off-putting for me, and I had to rinse my mouth after to get the taste out. I started with the Cinnamon, switched to the citrus, and then settled on the Powermint last. I don't know if I just finally got used to the salt or if the Powermint tastes awesome, but I honestly crave brushing my teeth with this stuff now, lol. It tastes SO good!!! I guess it's all in what you get used to? If you're just starting, Powermint is the one I recommend.I feel like this product leaves my teeth feeling really polished, and I'm excited to know it is remineralizing my teeth! Highly recommend giving yourself a week to adjust to something new when using this, and then enjoy the results!

    Great product. I've been using it for about two weeks and there has been a noticeable improvement in whiteness, cleanliness and overall comfort of my teeth and mouth in general. I would highly recommend. Only thing I would note is that it doesn't make your breath as fresh as most toothpaste will. But I believe that will get better with time. As this product is designed not solely to clean, but to improve dental health.

    Love this so far, my teeth feel so much cleaner then they do with regular toothpaste. So the lid issue... The second time I tried to open it, it got stuck. So I found some fine grit sandpaper and sanded the inside of the lid, over the threads. Haven't had a problem since. Hope that helps, happy brushing!

    Feels like a better clean. Even my gums seem healthier. I find myself brushing longer and more often because it's so easy and tastes better than tube brands. Doesn't foam up but that makes it easier to gargle with and there's no need to rinse, although I sometimes do just to get rid of the salty aftertaste.

    I love this stuff and have bought some for friends. At my last teeth cleaning my hygienist asked me what I was doing differently since my last cleaning because she noticed an improvement in my plaque build-up and staining. The only thing I changed was using Frau Fowler's tooth powder! I pour a small amount of the powder into a smaller lidded container because the container it comes in is so large and hard to manage on a daily basis. Works great for me and I love the flavor!

    I have been using this tooth powder for about 6 months now and the first time I bought it, the powder came in a little metal tin which I loved. The powder works really well and my mouth feels super clean when using this powder. This formula is best for mint traditionalists.Plaque/tartar-disclosing tablets indicate that the Frau Fowler products are doing a good job on funky bacterial film. I'm continuing to use traditional fluoride toothpaste at least once a day, for cavity protection, but that's a chore. The FF tooth powders are much more of a treat.

    It leaves my teeth smooth like when I leave the dentist after a cleaning. I hate the grit feel of a dental cleaning and this product is low grit, which is a plus. It does have a strong initial salty taste (which I do not mind), and it fades after a few seconds as your saliva dilutes during brushing. I am new to tooth powder. I wet my toothbrush before dipping into the powder which is against the directions on the container, but otherwise, I found that the powder fell off before I got my toothbrush into my mouth. My mouth feels great after using this product, and I recommend it to others.

I am sensitive to a lot of toothpastes and am so happy to have found this effective yet gentle tooth powder. I began using Frau Fowler because of the tin packaging. I had eliminated all the plastic from my morning routine and do my best not to bring any home, nor support companies using plastic. However, I only use it once a day (at most) because I need flouride. (My dentist noticed my teeth worsened considerably when once I switched off flouride toothpaste.)     I LOVE this tooth powder. 4 stars only because I live in Florida where it's super humid, and after awhile my tooth powder turns to tooth goop. It's happened in 3 different containers. We still use it up, it's just more like toothpaste that way, lol. I just got a new package of it, I'm going to split it up into several containers to try to prevent this from happening again. But overall I love the taste and how clean my mouth feels, and I love all the training and samples the company sends along.

    I love how clean my teeth are after using Frau Fowlers. So does my dental hygienist, as she needs to do very little when I go in for my cleanings every 6 months. I must say I do rinse and spit, as I don’t need the extra sodium intake. The only negative is the container. I have to use grips for arthritis sufferers (yes, I have bad hand arthritis), and once I get it open I put it in a container I can easily open. PLEASE consider putting it in an easier container, especially a more eco-friendly one.

Having said that, the maker is correct, in that at different times of day it will taste differently to you (not as salty, or too salty, etc.). Also, my mouth feels SO Clean after using this powder and that clean feeling lasts a long time. I imagine it's pretty healthy for your mouth, in antibacterial properties of the himalayan salt. Anyway, my husband hates it, but I think I could get used to it. I will try because I like the feeling afterward.

    I am trying to do away with as many one-use plastic items that I can, including toothpaste containers. I have used tooth powders in the past, but they came in plastic containers. I discovered Frau Fowler Power Mint Tooth Powder on Amazon and was impressed by the list of ingredients. I like the power mint flavor of the powder (used on my bamboo toothbrush) and feel like my teeth are really clean after use. It's okay that I don't have to rinse my mouth afterward. I also like the 'tin' container the power comes in and was pleased with the eco-friendly packaging.

    I got on a clean living kick this summer and decided all of my products were toxic and had to go. I tried out this toothpaste and was at first unsure of the salty after taste but very quickly got used to it. My tooth looked and felt cleaner than ever. I took it on a 3 week eurotrip and the only downside was the metal can didn't seal well which eventually led to clumping. Once it ran out I bought a tube of bland Earth paste and found that I really missed that salty clean feeling. I bought a second can and it turns out they've changed the packaging! It's in a new, easy to open/close plastic container. I've never been so excited about dental packaging (although I do miss the old branding). They also included some eco floss which works great. Highly recommend!

    This tooth Powder leaves your mouth feelings crisp and clean. I mean clean like you just came from the dental hygienist clean. The first time I used it, I almost spit it out. It is very salty tasting. After using for 2 weeks, I have gotten use to it and it no longer taste salty. However be warned, you must use it several times to get use to it. I have trouble with plague build up around my bottom center teeth. This powder seems to be helping tremendously with that plaque build up. Would I buy again, YES. .

    Overall, both my husband and I LOVE this tooth powder. Our teeth and gums have never felt so clean and I like its milder taste. It removes plaque and stains while being gentle on your teeth. Unfortunately, it hasn't been great for my sensitivity. I am having to supplement my brushings with a traditional sensitivity toothpaste to control the pain. I can't say whether there is any truth to the 'remineralization' claims, but I'd assume that it's not happening because that it would probably help with the sensitivity. I've experienced the same disappointment with numerous 'remineralizing' toothpastes that didn't contain either fluoride or potassium nitrate.

    As a little girl growing up with being a sour fan, especially eating a lot of limes, of course in time it broke down my enamel. Into adulthood I stopped eating a lot of what I loved which was mostly fruits and vegetables. I'd pull away because I didn’t want to bare the pain of sensitivity. Even enamel repair toothpaste wouldn’t do what this product did for me. Since day 1 I noticed a cleaner feeling and since day 2 I felt my teeth protective even from the cold wind or when I breathed through my mouth. The sensitivity was gone! I feel like a new person!     I have been using this tooth powder for about a week. This is the first time I have tried a powder, and I am so excited to quit using regular toothpaste! With this tooth powder, my teeth are whiter and I can already feel the difference in my gums and mouth. I did not have specific issues, just wanted to lessen the chemicals I am ingesting, but still get super white teeth and a powerful clean feeling. I have been blown away from what I have noticed in such a short time. The taste is easy to get used to, and the company does such a wonderful job of letting you know what is in the powder and why.     My husband made a switch from regular toothpaste to Frau Fowler about a year ago. We really liked it almost immediately - got used to the not rinsing part and not wetting the tooth brush... But after a year we agreed that while we really liked the product, and our teeth were definitely a bit whiter, we hadn't noticed a big enough difference to make the price tag worth the ding to our budget. (Its definitely not a cost saving product when you compare it you a $3 tube of Colgate.) So after our last tin ran out, we opted to switch back to regular toothpaste. After 2 days, I went directly to Amazon and ordered another 4 pack of tooth powder. Yuck! Never again. I used to think toothpaste tasted minty...now all I can taste is detergent! The foaming was so sticky and the paste was so thick, it didn't feel like it was cleaning my teeth as much as it was coating them in who knows what. Tooth powder leaves my teeth feeling clean and my mouth feeling fresh, not sticky. Frau Fowler is officially worth the extra cost in my book.

The toothpaste wasn’t old or anything, but since I haven’t used it in a couple months, I wasn’t used to the taste anymore. It tasted disgusting! I could taste all the chemicals and I kept gagging. I don’t know how I went years using this big company name brand toothpaste without realizing all the crap that was in it!!! Frau Fowler toothpowder tastes so good and is all natural and cleans my teeth better than anything I’ve used before.Original Post December 2018: Absolutely LOVE this tooth powder! It wasn’t difficult at all to switch to this from a commercial toothpaste. After seeing all the chemicals in toothpaste, most of which I had no idea what they were, I started looking for alternatives. This product has so far surpassed my expectations. Love the taste. It was a little salty when I first tried it but after a couple uses, I LOVE it. I find that this helps you clean your teeth and mouth a lot better than with paste. Something of note for those who live in a humid area (I live in Hawaii): keep the lid on when not in use. It needs to stay dry as much as possible, so dip your dry toothbrush in the product, then immediately close it to keep the humid air out.One thing I wish they could find a solution for is the use of the plastic container. Aside from that, I have no complaints at all. Thank you for making such a great quality product !

    I agree with the other reviewers: Great product! Terrible packaging! I had already been using a different all-natural tooth powder, and I liked it... but I like this better. It's also substantially less expensive, and isn't trashing my sink!I'm using the Power Mint flavor, and after the first time (yes - that salty flavor takes a little getting used to... but not much!) I found I actually really like the taste! The best thing is that because I enjoy brushing my teeth with Frau Fowler's (never thought I'd actually say that), I find myself making fewer excuses to skip that step in my nighttime routine! My teeth feel great!The canister it comes in is quaint-looking, but easily cross-threaded, and the metal is soft enough to make it bend if you do try to force it straight even a little. I haven't gotten sealed out of it yet, as has happened to other reviewers, but I can easily see how that could happen. Still, I like the product so much, that I gave it five stars anyway, despite the really annoying packaging.

    I am so pleased with the quality and effectiveness of this product, I've purchased it for others and recommended it to family and friends. In earlier reviews I noticed some others had difficulty with opening the metal can. I scoffed at that, as I never had any trouble opening the can... that is, until recently. I had watched a video on the Frau Fowler site stating one could also close the can by pressing down on the lid and snapping it shut. That worked, but the can never opened again. No matter what I did, I could not open the can again. It was new, and I had just gotten it. Very frustrating. I finally bought another can of tooth powder. In looking at the cans, I noticed they were dented when they arrived. As the can only came in a thin bubble bag, this was not a surprise. I am wondering if the severe denting had something to do with the ability to open and close the can. Not sure, but I think the packaging needs to be reviewed. I know you are very proud of the packaging (as stated in y our video); and a great deal of thought went into it, but the packaging design needs to be revisited. If this is something some customers complain about, it may turn them (and others) away from the product. One would also lose many 'word of mouth' referrals. This time I purchased another container to transfer the tooth powder into. I do not want another episode where I am unable to open the can. I have uploaded a photo of the cans and my 'new' container for it. Not sure if you can see the dents. But really, the product is wonderful. Beware of the packaging.

    While this is as effective as the other flavors, the taste is truly awful in the mouth. The wintergreen oil is overpowering and I do not feel minty fresh. Given that wintergreen is incredibly poisonous/deadly it's always surprising to find it in things. It does kind of feel like brushing with 'minty poison ivy' or alkaline poison powders/substances, it's a very unpleasant/unsettling feeling if you've ever been exposed to plant poison powders or chewed nightshade or poison ivy. (I have)I mean having had wintergreen 'fresh' it does taste dead on like wintergreen including the strong instinct surrounding 'oh glob this will kill me' sensation common to caustic volatile oils in many plants.This would be much better with a stronger leaning toward peppermint and much less wintergreen (and a little less spearmint).It is noticbly: Bitter, Acrid, Nightshade/Tomato Leaf sensatio (though stevia notoriously has a similar flavor profile and mouth feel) despite counter balances from the xylitol and salts.Has no metallic taste or anything like that.I have a very heightened and acute sense of taste so your mileage may vary.

    I have been using this tooth powder on backpacking trips for about a year now and I love it. Yes, the packaging sucks with the lid getting stuck but this doesnt matter to me becuase I take out a spoonful or so and put it in a small screw top nalgene container for my pack. My review is based on this use. The reasons this is good camper / backpacker tooth care:1. It's lightweight, dry and easily repackaged to take just what you need. A rounded teaspoon will last you 3-4 days even if you use it liberally.2. You can swallow it. I hate regular toothpaste on the trail because you're trying not to contaminate your water with toothpaste foam and you have to rinse a few times with your precious water. The powder is a more efficient solution.3. It works well with minimal or no water. Leaves your teeth feeling smooth and clean.4. The taste is good. I have the power mint and it does have a slight cinnamon taste but its not overpowering.As everyone has said, this twist top can is a pain if you used it every day. I would highly suggest the manufacturer polish the threads or use a heavier can or do something to keep it from sticking. But for repackaging and taking on the trail? PERFECT!!

    I've had this product for a month and a half and I decided I really needed to review it because I really like it.I'll start with my brushing method. I use an electric toothbrush with a soft bristle head. Usually I lightly rinse my toothbrush before I dip it into my container of tooth powder. I haven't really experienced clumping ( if you look at the picture I attached, this was my container of tooth powder today) so if you're used to doing that you still can! Just don't soak it. Then I put the toothbrush in my mouth and turn on the electric toothbrush because I would rather not have tooth powder all over my bathroom. But I brush, swish, and spit.Next, the flavour. I went with the Power Mint because I love mint a a flavour. Upon getting it out of the box it was sent in, I was hit with the small of mint. To me, that's a good thing. First time using it I was really surprised because I had been used to the sweet, foamy toothpaste I had been using up until that point. This tastes salty. Not 'I just ate a handful of salt' salty, but more like 'I just ate a potato chip' salty, so in my opinion it's really not bad. Plus, when I'm brushing my teeth I now just pull my tongue away from where I'm brushing to keep most of the powder on my teeth initially so I don't get the majority of the saltiness until I swish it around in my mouth. After I spit it out I have a very refreshing minty flavor in my mouth. They're still a bit of saltiness, but that goes away pretty quickly.I brush my teeth at least three times a day, and I can tell you my mouth has never felt more clean. I actually just purchased two more containers so that I can have one at home, one with me at work, and one in my car. Granted, I had really sensitive teeth so I try to brush as often as I can after I eat or drink anything. But after using this product at least three times a day I've noticed that my sensitivity has gone down a lot! So if you have sensitive teeth I highly recommend this! Just make sure you keep up with brushing multiple times a day.So just to sum it all up: it works, it's salty but not sickeningly so, and it's helped a lot with my tooth sensitivity. It seems salty and sweet at once and intense. After awhile, I got use to it. My teeth are cleaner all day long. My dental cleaning was so much easier for the dentist & me.     I was extremely disappointed to receive my toothpowder in a plastic container. Under the questions, the sellers assured several customers that their product came in a tin and NOT in plastic.That is part of the reason I chose this toothpowder.The flavor is spicy and combined with the salt it burned my sensitive gums. It was ok after a minute or so, but the first bit was intense and painful. The floss shredded almost immediately and became unusable after only flossing a few teeth. I did enjoy the rinseless feature of the toothpowder and it left my mouth feeling clean. I won’t buy it again though unless they sell in packaging that’s plastic free. Black Pearl may not be rinseless and colorless, but it remineralized my teeth very well and comes in a glass container.

    It's really salty! I know that is to be expected with a tooth powder but this is the first time I've used one. Once you get past the saltiness it does a really good job getting your teeth clean. It does have a very salty, minty taste to it, and with no foaming action, it takes a little getting used to the texture.     Beautiful tin it comes in, tastes GREAT! Teeth feel good and clean. I really love all 4 flavors so I buy the whole set every time. The only thing I donʻt know how to avoid, is that because I wet my toothbrush before I tap it in to gather the powder, the powder eventually gets watered down into a paste by the time I am finished with the whole tin. I assume this would happen with everyone as one has to get the toothbrush wet in order to apply the powder. I highly recommend this product!

If you are dehydrated it will taste saltier, so it is a good measure for that as well. No need to use water, so great for camping.

It’s not your grandma’s tooth powder - way more flavorful, and packaged in this lovely little container that can be reused, something you can never do with a regular toothpaste tube. It doesn't leave my breath 'fresh' like toothpaste does, but that being said, it feels like my teeth stay cleaner longer, which I love. I also haven't noticed the usual build-up of plaque I get behind my lower front teeth yet. The first time using was a switch, because it tasted sooo salty, but over time I got used to it... so much so that I went to use my husband's Crest toothpaste while on vacation and, I kid you not, it tasted like I was smearing bubble gum paste in my mouth!     I was wary of another mint toothpaste that was super sweet 'mint.' Not so with this Power Mint. I personally don't taste much mint, more of a salty flavor (which I like). There is some mint. I like the powder format which seems to be more effective than typical toothpaste, which tends to glob up and not apply evenly. The product seems to clean well and my mouth feels refreshed.     I LOVE the taste (though many people think it's way too salty and weird), and I love the texture, I LOVE brushing with this powder, and it does make my mouth feel cleaner. BUT unfortunately I notice that every time I start brushing with this powder for 3 days in a row I start developing cankersores, and it's painful. I am not sure why, maybe there's an ingredient that I am allergic to? I stopped using it, and my cankersores would go away. So now I still use the powder, but never more than two days in a row, and I try to space them out to once a week or something in that timeline.

    Holy Cow! As the son of a dentist, I did not think I would ever find a prouct that would make me look forward to brushing my teeth. I have tried just about every brush, paste gel, and rinse on the market and while they all have their own merits, none of them are what I would call titillating. Frau Fowler is the exception.I have used powders in the past but they were nothing more than minty baking soda. Frau Fowler is different in flavor and results. Every time I use this product I feel as if I have just returned from a professional cleaning from a dental hygienist. And the flavor (I use Power Mint) is wonderful. A lot of toothpastes and gels overpower your palate and you can't taste anything else for the next half hour. Frau Fowler is a lot more subtle and complex and you aren't left with a foamy mess like a rabid animal. I honestly think I sleep better when I use Frau Fowler right before bed.Definitely give this product a try. Every time I order I get a couple of sample packs of their other flavors. The other flavors are great too but I still like Power Mint the best.

    Like some of the negative reviews have stated there is a VERY strong salt flavor to the powder and the mint is very powerful/strong as well. If you're someone who gags at the thought of gargling with salt water this product won't be for you. But if you don't mind it you'll probably be fine with this product. I really like it, but I also have never been shy of the taste of salt or strong mints.The only time my teeth feel this clean is after leaving the dentist. And it LASTS. I was a bit skeptical of the product but thought I would give it a shot, I'm so glad I did!For those looking for plastic free alternatives to the toothpaste tube, this isn't plastic free but the container is recyclable and they use very minimal packaging (The standard amazon pouch and a simple paper bag around the container was all they used).     I bought this for traveling to reduce the liquids I take on an airplane. I ended up using it at home too. You just dip your toothbrush into the powder and brush as usual. No rinsing is necessary. Perfect for traveling in countries where the water isn't safe to drink or when camping. It has a salty taste in combination with mint...it's something I had to get use to, but the benefits outweigh any unpleasant taste. I did notice my teeth looked a little whiter too. My dental hygienist said my teeth looked good and she did very little scraping during my cleaning. I'd like to think this tooth powder had something to do with that. It's the only change I made this past 6 months. I highly recommend it.

    I bought this on the recommendation of a friend with great teeth. My teeth are in ok shape, but I've been worried about my gums (to the point of avoiding a dentist visit). I found this super easy to use, and I actually really like the flavor (I like salty). I've used it for only 4 days, twice a day, and took a good look at my mouth after the 4th day - my teeth are quite a bit whiter, as if I'd used a whitening product. But the real shock is that after such short use my gums already look better. They are less inflammed and just healthier looking overall. My mouth is no longer bleeding when I brush. I'm a convert! I actually look forward to brushing my teeth with this stuff, and I can only assume that if I've gotten these results in just four days that my gum health is going to continue to imrpove.

    UPDATE: the powder did the job of cleaning even when compared to another remineralizing tooth powder that cost twice as much. though this does not return minerals to the teeth, it simply and thoroughly cleans, and maybe kills some bacteria. like other reviewers noted, i too thought it tasted pretty salty. but it was the wintergreen that i couldn't swallow. just not a well balanced flavor at all. all I tasted was wintergreen, rather than the peppermint and spearmint flavors I was hoping would dominate, as I HATE wintergreen, it's like some imposter wanna be mint. but don't take my word for it -- 'Spiraea plants also contain methyl salicylate in large amounts and are used similarly to wintergreen. I have never had a real problem opening the tin once I got the trick of using a gentle touch and washing down the threading from time to time. Frau Fowler, I am VERY DISAPPOINTED that you now use a plastic tin. The reason I chose you over others when trying my first tooth powder was because you used a metal tin. I bought some of your tooth powder as part of a “green” Christmas gift and was so disappointed to see you had moved to plastic. Bring back the metal tin please.

    This is such an amazing find! I was using coconut oil and controlling plaque and improving gum recession, but this product actually removes plaque. I usually only have to go for cleaning once every two years, but this product makes cleaning obsolete. I also use a dental brush and dip this powder on it and floss between the teeth. This accelerated the plaque dissolving. Never rinse this product. swish in your mouth extensively and then spit. No rinsing. My dental technician was shocked and confused by my teeth that had absolutely no plaque or stains in two years. Highly recommend. Follow directions exactly.

Yes it is plastic, but it's a huge improvement in design.This is my second order of this tooth powder. The first one lasted several months. Considering how long it lasts, the price is pretty cheap.The first time I ever used this stuff, it seemed way too salty and strong. It also had me drooling like a mastiff while brushing. It took a few times to get the hang of it, but now, it's fantastic. Toothpaste has never made my mouth feel this clean and although not a huge difference, I do think my teeth look a little whiter.The thing that really sold me on this stuff though was my sensitive teeth. I broke a molar and couldn't afford to see the dentist. I was having pain/sensitivity off and on. I started brushing with this stuff and it seemed like the hurt went away. I don't know why that is or how it works, but I noticed and am grateful.I brush my teeth, gums, and tongue with this stuff, then swish it all around really well before spitting it back out. It's a little weird not drinking any water for a short period after, but I've gotten used to it. My mouth feels really clean and good. I've tried toothpaste a few times since discovering this stuff and can't imagine ever going back to that regularly. Directions for using tooth powder
