    They dont know about tooth powders....bizarre but true. Since powders have been around for ages..like early 1900's. BUT Frau Fowler brought it to the mindful masses and I am thankful for that.

    This is our favorite flavor! Minty but not. We don't like fennel flavors and don't have cinnamon often because we get bored with it, but this Citrus mint is the go-to flavor of tooth powder :) We have tried many different types of tooth powders over the years. Frau Fowler is hands down the best. Love the texture. Love the other flavors, too. And love that it freshens your breath on top of just being amazing (that's one of our complaints with other powders). Many mint flavors are "too spicy" for our kids, but not Frau Fowler. No more complaining when the kiddos are told to brush their teeth!

    I purchased this product in the "resealable" package. This is the 3rd package that when I opened it the seal ripped off from one of the sides. Therefore, I had to find a different package for it. After the second one, I was gentle when opening it, so I don't think it was user error. Other than the packaging fail, I do enjoy the product!

    I care for my elderly mother, just had her 92nd birthday. In spite of her active young life, she suffers from bad knees and an arthritic hip. Standing for long periods (or even short periods) is not easy for her at all, she fatigues quickly. So standing at the sink to brush her teeth, or wash her hands or face is not a viable option anymore.



    I have switched her from traditional toothpaste TO the FF Tooth&Gum Powder. It is easy for both of us because there is no rinsing and spitting to manage, and she can swallow whatever the powder generates in her mouth, and I know it is good for her mouth teeth and gums. While she is sitting, I hand her a toothbrush w powder and that’s it!



    As her primary caregiver, I am delighted at any daily tasks that can be accomplished more easily, anything that makes her life easier, and it is a bonus that it promotes healthy teeth!

    I am absolutely so glad I found Frau Fowler. I actually found out about it by requesting a sample from one of those "free sample" sites. I received the sample in mid-2020 and haven't looked back. This tooth powder makes it fun to brush your teeth! It took a couple of times to get used to it but I can't even think of going back to regular toothpaste anymore.

    I've used Citrus Mint for about a year now after changing flavors from Mint and Mouth Medic. Citrus mint has maintained my improved Teeth and gams that I got with Mouth Medic about two years ago. I have "gum disease" and receding gums and as soon as I switched over to Mouth Medic two years ago, my teeth felt cleaner and my dentist visit was truly great. The dentist actually couldn't believe the difference and that I actually "healed" a lot of my issues. He wanted to know what I used. Citrus Mint has maintained the great visits and the hygienist always remarks how little plague I have and doesn't even spend 5 minutes on me. I love it and can't recommend any of Frau Fowlers products enough. Great taste too.

    I received the tooth powder sample pack of 7 flavors and this is one of my favorites! The mint is mild, but enough to wake my mouth up and the citrus is a nice complement to it. I'm loving the tooth powders in general, I find the brushing experience much more more pleasant so I tend to brush more often than I did while using a traditional toothpaste. I'm so happy I found these products!

    I have a 6 year old and 8 year old and they LOVE to "swish" with this flavor. They complain about the other flavors, for various reasons, but will still use them if thats all we have. I'll admit this one is tasty but its hard for me to pick a favorite, because they are all different and taste great to me. Keeps the mouth cleaner than any toothpaste I have ever used. Handles bad breath too. Love this stuff!

    This taste like lemon essential oil and peppermint oil with sweet and salt, that's basically the ingredients. The cinnamon oil is spicy, it's a strong powder. I had a reaction to cinnamon oil, so can't use this product, but the taste was not horrible. It is different, so if you are a traditional toothpaste lover and never like to delineate from that traditional mint flavor, this won't be your brush of teeth ;) I do think the powders are great for tooth sensitivity. I've remineralized my kid's cavities with tooth powders under the supervision of a dentist, so know these types of powders work, and can tell the week or so I was using FF tooth powder it helped already. My husband loves these tooth powders. My kids only like the Sur'se or the Power Mint powder.

    Very happy with purchase! My teeth and gums are feeling and looking so much better since I started using this product. I love coffee and tea and noticed my teeth were showing the effects of it. It was surprising how quickly my teeth brightened up and how easy it was to get used to the dry brushing ( though I do still spit but not rinse! ) The powder doesnt feel abrasive at all and my teeth feel really clean too.

    Glad I bought two bags as I simply filled a glass jar I had and attached the label from the bag to the front of it.

    I recently have moved to using Frau Fowler as my new tooth powder and have moved away from tooth paste. I find the powder doesn't contain anything that i can't pronounce. It has a great flavor and easy to use. And unlike tooth paste, if it happens to leak out it is easy enough to clean up, as long as things stay dry.The flavor is quite brisk and super awakening, in it full citrusy blast. It was at first a bit too overpowering, but as you get used to it, it is very nice and can really get rid of many strong food flavors. Being a powder it does take some getting used to getting it on your tooth brush without spilling. But once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy. Just keep your brush dry when doing it, or have a small spoon or scoop handy to put it on your brush. If the powder gets wet than it will be a bit clumpy.All in all, I feel the switch to tooth powder has helped with a fresh, clean feeling. The different flavors are also helpful just to change things up a bit. And in the end this at least for me, makes brushing your teeth a bit more fun, and i find myself brushing more often.

    Really great stuff. Tastes good,but it's pretty potent. Leaves my teeth cleaner than they've ever been after brushing with traditional toothpaste. It doesn't require water, has no flouride or other harsh cleaning agents so it's very kid friendly, and doesn't leave that nasty 'film' on the insides of your cheeks. Above all else, it's actually affordable; unlike dirty mouth tooth powder. I mean it's a decent product, but idk where they get off charging 25$ for an oz. It's also too coarse for some people to use on their sensitive teeth, even tho it's supposed to help sensitivity. Haven't had that issue with Frau Fowler, as it's actually reduced the pain in the few days I've had it, plus it's been chipping away at the plaque buildup between my teeth.(I have a lot of trouble flossing because my teeth have very tight spacing.)I give it a 5/5 already, because after only a few days, my teeth are cleaner than they've been in years.

    The most fabulous powder for teeth.I used to have tartar build up problems, I don't even get plaque or gritty teeth with this stuff plus flossing. Teeth feel stronger, breath is fresh, I salivate like hell for a little bit after so it's great for combating dry mouth till I next eat or drink something.Tooth brush choices matters a bit, you want a softer or minimal bristle/boss method brush for getting in between teeth and up under gums. So factoring all that together + a nonacidic diet: PreCavities and pits went away, teeth cleanest they've ever been, now consistently after a brushing, no dry mouth, less stains/hues lighter teeth, no tarter build up (after a life of extreme tartar formation just hours after a professional cleaning), the dentist has nothing to do when I go in ('your good to go/stop wasting our time!'), as long as I use this at least once daily after eating my last food for the day my dry mouth has disappeared (if I use it multiple times a day I salivate heavily/drool during sleep and don't wake up with a parched threat), and this SUBSTANTIALLY reduces sore throats and throats infections when following the gargle guide. A truly astounding product and citrusy fresh too!

    I like this product. I tried Dirty Mouth tooth powder and found it abysmal. I did not like it at all. Frau Fowler does what it claims and my concern about not rinsing my mouth after brushing was no issue at all. It does a great job of cleaning your teeth, it isn't too strong of a taste, and I don't know if my teeth have 're-mineralized.' My one critique is that you can feel the scum on your teeth in the morning. I don't know why that is true. It motivates me to brush my teeth quickly :)I like this tooth powder, I may try another to see the difference. I would recommend it. I have a friend that has been using it. She is a little grossed out by dipping her toothbrush in it (she's a little germophobic). Some have complained about the container, but the container is fine. It's not sturdy like a solid steel, but there is no issue unless you are rough with it. It's a good product. I recommend it; I just don't like the morning feel of my teeth. That may be a little too picky for my sensibilities to complain about.

Often it was a struggle to get my teeth clean, there was no whitening (I drink lots of coffee so my teeth get stained regularly), and because it tasted bad I dreaded and avoided brushing my teeth. Thus, after my cousin made me try this tooth powder, I immediately purchased some. This was about a month ago, and I have been brushing with only this since.Frau Fowler's tooth powder comes in a metal tin (no plastic, and the tins are cool so I plan on reusing them), it tastes delicious, is great at cleaning and is the best whitening tooth product I have ever used.Highly recommend.

    My teeth feel so smooth and clean after cleaning with this stuff. It even worked on my almost 8 yr old son. His teeth always have plaque left even right after brushing with regular toothpaste. His teeth get sooo much cleaner with this stuff. We both do not mind the salty yet slightly sweet taste. The key is to not put too much on the toothbrush.It has only been a month of using this exclusively, no toothpaste at all. I have not noticed any teeth whitening, remineralizing or decreased sensitivity so far. I intend to continue using it so I will re-evaluate in a few more months.

    It is great knowing it is a healthier product to use rather than reg sensitive toothpaste. I have rheumatoid arthritis, and will frequently have small mouth ulcers due to medication for RA. I attribute Frau Fowler’s tooth powder with healing the ulcers within a few days & they have not returned. The salty taste was surprising, but less noticeable with time. And while the citrus samurai mint, was not the sweet flavor we had grown accustomed to using, I have to be honest. I love it!!! My teeth look and feel noticeably whiter and smoother. This has become an important part of my oral health. I highly recommend this product.

    I bought this to replace my kids toothpaste and to try myself. It failed the kids test. They ABSOLUTELY hated it. The taste was too strong and more like brushing with sweet smelling salt. There isn't much to taste besides an overwhelming salt flavor. It smells wonderful however and it made my teeth very clean feeling and much later still felt amazing. If only it tasted as good as it smelled. Not for kids at all not anyone under probably the age of 10 or so, this is an acquired taste or more one to tolerate for the benefits of a healthy tooth wash.

    Love this powder. Not a bad taste, especially if you're used to taking bicarbonate. It leaves a lasting clean, and when using I don't feel as sensitive. Definitely use soft bristles, as felt a bit sore after using a medium one, the soft leaves you clean without being too harsh.

    I was having problems with tooth sensitivity and an extreme, painful burning in my mouth every time I brushed my teeth with 'name-brand' toothpastes. I could barely brush at all the burning was so bad! I thought it was the mint flavoring that seems to be in every single toothpaste on store shelves, but some googling revealed it was likely the chemicals added to make it foamy. I'd never had this issue until recently. Anyway, since I couldn't find any store toothpastes that didn't burn the inside of my mouth, I thought I'd try something more natural. I love Frau Fowler tooth powder! I've tried this one and the cinnamon and love them both. The flavor itself is not too strong and it doesn't burn my mouth at all. The tooth sensitivity I had also disappeared. I've been to the dentist for a cleaning since starting it, and everything was fine--no cavities, normal amount of plaque/tartar scraping they always have to do. Believe me, I was worried about how well it would really clean my teeth since I always thought you HAD to have fluoride in your toothpaste for healthy teeth. Apparently that is not true and all those chemicals are bad for your mouth. It is salty, but as long as you don't use too much, it's bearable. You have to remember the instructions that a little goes a long way and only use a small amount. One tin lasts me a pretty long time, but I don't always brush my teeth twice/day--usually only once at night. I'm 2/3 through my 3rd tin and I started using it right around January 1. So if you are looking for something natural to clean your teeth, I definitely recommend Frau Fowler! It really works great!

    Our entire family uses the tooth powder. We love it. This blend, in particular, is great for the kids because of the flavor. It's not as hot as the cinnamon one we had previously and it doesn't taste as salty. I would give it 5 stars but I HATE the tin it comes in. It is not very functional - difficult to take the lid on and off. I'm always worried I'm going to spill it.

    I purchased this product when it had the old tin packaging which hard to open at times. This new plastic packaging is better but can still be hard to open if you close it too tight. There is nothing to grip on the smooth yellow lid. I just put a thick rubberband to make it easier to open.This is the second time I have used/purchased this.     Loved how white my teeth looked (including a 15 year old veneer that never whitened with any other products) after a month of using once a day, I didn’t even expect that and noticed it on my own. However I started using it at the end of my pregnancy and a month after birth and my bleeding postpartum was longer than any of my other pregnancies. I was trying to figure out that was going on when I thought to research the oils in this tooth powder-it turns out Wintergreen oil is more potent than aspirin at thinning your blood. Within 24 hours of stopping use my bleeding slowed down, within 48 it stopped completely. It could have been coincidence but I don’t believe it was. I can’t wait to use this again but it probably won’t be until after my baby is weaned (wintergreen is considered an oil that can affect baby as well).

    I've only used this powder for a few days but OMG I can already feel the difference in my teeth! I have had a lot of dental work and currently have a few cavities. We moved into a town with a high concentration of flouride in the water and so my teeth have progressively gotten worse over the last 7months. I've tried different regular toothpastes but there was severe plaque beginning to build up on my gum line. Like, SEVERE. a few of my teeth had a bad enough ring of hard plaque I was worried I'd have to have them removed. 2 DAYS of using this powder and the build up is completely gone.     I’ve been using Frau Fowler tooth powder for about a year now, and I love how my teeth feel. They’re smoother and less sensitive than they were, and they just feel clean. I forgot to reorder before I ran out this week, and had to use paste in a tube for a couple days. By mid morning each day, my teeth felt grimy, like they needed to be scrubbed down. My teeth seem to feel cleaner longer with the Frau Fowler, and I appreciate that. I’ve tried Mouth Medic flavor, and Citrus Mint, and I like them both. I agree with all the complaints about the packaging, the first time I open a new package it takes a lot of prying and swearing! Last night my boyfriend and I both fought with the new package for a good several minutes. But after it’s opened for the first time, I don’t have an issue. I don’t think I’m strong enough to get the lid on as tightly as they do when they’re manufactured. Overall, the packaging is a minor inconvenience that I’m willing to fight with every couple of months because I really love the tooth powder.

I was looking for something to help remove stains (coffee & tea drinker) but more importantly help with a small sore gum area. I also had a small cavity which I haven't had it years and I cracked a far back molar which had to be removed (to be replaced in 4 months - expensive). I want no more teeth issues! I ditched my old electric toothbrush and got a Sonic DiamondClean. After reading a half dozen or more brands, I purchased the power mint in this brand.I have used it for several days now (Once a day at night only) as I read reviews where 'powders' were harsh and I am taking it slow just in case. At night I swish it around after brushing as instructed on the instruction envelop and then not eat or drink anything for the rest of the night to keep my mouth alkaline which is optimal per the well laid out instruction envelop.     Tastes like salt on the rim of a margarita, so already I'm a fan. As crazy as I am about this one, I find the line's Mouth Medic even better. If you're not ready to abandon mint in your brushing regimen, though, this is the formula to try.As in my review of the Mouth Medic flavor, I should point out that I continue to use fluoride paste for cavity protection, and I supplement a few hours before or later with these powders. The paste seems like a chore; these products are a treat.

I like that you don't have to rinse with it because it is safe to keep in your mouth. I have also found my gums to have lightened to a very healthy shade of light pink. I am still in the process of discovering the products benefits and how much I enjoy it.

    After becoming so discouraged at not being able to open the #$%! container (screw? pry? gaaahhh!), I decided to hold the top of the container in front of my bathroom space heater for a couple of seconds. Voila! That tiny bit of heat expanded the lid just enough to unscrew (and yes, it does have a screw cap). The powder that spilled out and invaded the screw threads seems to be just enough to prevent it from sealing it too tightly to remove again.All right, one hurdle down. Next: the taste. Oh, dear, it's awful. I suppose the essential oils help a bit, but the taste of sodium bicarbonate was so prevalent and, well, disgusting, that I could barely complete brushing. The directions instruct the user not to rinse. Not this user. I couldn't wait to get that nasty stuff out of my mouth. When I was young, our household used tooth powder, and it was perfectly palatable. Would that I could find it again.I purchased Frau Fowler based on the numerous good reviews, so it's clear that it is providing a benefit to many users. I will continue to try it and to try tolerating it, but I'm just a tad less than enthusiastic about it at the moment. Perhaps your experience will be better than mine.

    I have used this before and after some adjustment to the strong flavor came to like it a lot. I liked how my teeth and mouth feel after brushing. A little bit goes a long way. It will last longer than it seems. When I ordered it before it came in the tin container shown. I liked that it was more recyclable than plastic and the cover art was very cool. I thought I’d get the same contained but instead a plastic container arrived and mediocre redux on cover. Has nothing to do with my teeth but why not have visually stimulating things around. If I didn’t like the product so much I’d give it two stars for the changes in packaging. 10/29. Update. I still like the product and am still very frustrated that the company took the plastic route. Am giving 3 stars for poor judgement.

    I remember my Grandmother always used a powdered toothpaste and after so many years, I decided to google it in hopes of finding what she used so I could see what was so special about it. they still make the product she used, but I also found Frau Fowler (which is the one I purchased). I'm now 70 years old and will be using powdered toothpaste forever (alone or in addition to my regular toothpaste). Recently I was hospitalized and bought a children's toothpaste that could be swallowed and needed no water, unfortunately, I was never satisfied with the performance because little children and grown ups have different needs. After all this time, my Grandmother's oral hygiene was a forgotten memory, and it's cool that I can now share her dry toothpaste habits with my children.

    I wasn't really looking for a change in toothpaste when I came across Frau Fowlers. I was due for my next cleaning and figured I'd try it something different for a bit though and see the results when I go back in to the dentist in 6 months. So far, I'm three months in to regular use. It took a little bit to get used to the salty flavor but now I sort of like it. I started with the Citrus Mint and ordered other flavors when needing a refill. I prefer the Citrus Mint, personally. They all have a mild flavor (I'm using Mouth Medic right now and it comes off a little too much like I may have dropped my toothbrush at the campsite and there's a hint of tree/dirt on it when I kept going but it's not bad enough that I don't use it. I'll go back to the Citrus Mint when I order again.) As far as performance, I find that my teeth feel cleaner, I have less tarter buildup in my trouble spot behind my front lower teeth, when I floss after brushing I don't get any weird smelling stuff pulled out (please tell me I'm not the only one that would get that), and when I wake in the morning, my kitten breath isn't as bad as it was while using what we call 'corporate' toothpaste. My 16 year old started using it as well (it's more economical to buy a few at a time on Amazon and you can get multiple flavors together) and prefers the Power Mint. My husband is starting to use my Mouth Medic as well. Overall, we're really happy with the product and I'm looking forward to my next dental cleaning to see what they say.

    I really like this tooth powder, though I do not recommend 'using in bed,' like they do on the instructions!! It's a little salty, so I definitely need to 'spit out' the remainder of it after brushing. I've used several flavors now and like them all. This one is a little more 'fruity' than the first one I tried. Quick note: do not get it 'wet.' I was used to running a toothbrush under water before using the other powdered tooth products I have used - it turns into a bit of a sticky goo. I only made this mistake with the first container!! I have since used multiple containers and this is the only brand that does not recommend wetting the toothbrush first.

    It really is excellent! It has stopped my 6 ye old son from getting cavities and I feel my tooth problems minimizing. You can feel the pH balance restored. It's just different in the best way possible. Helps re-mineralize over time helps reduce bad breath. Only thing different is it tastes salty. I don't mind, cause I know it's part of the benefits, but some people aren't use to a salty tooth paste. Citrus is more salty, but the other flavors like power mint isn't as salty tasting. Love it.... Highly recommend!

    To be fair this was one of a few products I used to reverse my dental decay, but I have no doubt that Fraufolwer played it's part! When I learned about the dangers of fluoride I went out and bought a tube of paste from a box store and thought that was that. I was very wrong. I lived 46 years of my life cavity free, so I was shocked when a few months later I started to get tooth pain. I later found out I had two cavities. I went to researching, and learned a lot about tooth decay and reversing the damages.One of the things I learned was that fluoride changes the structure of the enamel, the lattice work so to say. If you take the fluoride away, you need to make sure you are putting something in it's place. Any toothpaste won't do, *especially* pastes, as they contain glycerin. The glycerin coats the teeth so that the minerals needed to build a strong lattice work for your enamel will prevent them from coming in contact with the teeth.So I went to work making changes to my diet, and building my supplies....remineralizing powder and drops, coconut oil and wheat grass powder for oil pulling and swishing, herbal powder, and Fraufowler tooth powder. I had my teeth rechecked 9 months later and the cavities were gone!Getting used to using powder took a while, but after running out and having to use a paste for a couple of weeks I was very pleased to see my tooth powder arrive as I now prefer it over a paste.

    I was hesitant to try a fluoride-free tooth product, but after my son's severe fluorosis, I wasn't about to take any chances. A friend recommended products that were more than twice what Frau Fowler's cost, so I figured I'd give the 'cheap' one a try. I am so glad I did. It's been a miracle for my teeth. I love the flavor, and have even gotten used to the saltiness. I fast regularly during the day, and so it's nice to have a 'dry mouthwash' to use to flavor my mouth for a while. What really made me a believer, however, was the fact that with fluoride tooth products, my gums *always* bled. After every single brushing. With Frau Fowler's, they never bleed. Never! I've been using this product consistently for a week, and not only are my teeth clean and white, but they are less sensitive. I will never return to using 'conventional' tooth products, again! Everyone should try this tooth powder!

    The flavor is very powerful, but as soon as that salty part went away I could taste the strong cinnamon oil with a hint of wintergreen. I was nervous about not needing to rinse my mouth out. I thought my mouth would be so dry, but I didn’t realize how salty it was. The salt actually helps increase the amount of saliva to water down the powder. I end up with so much “water” in my mouth after brushing that I don’t need to rinse. I don’t have a nasty taste in my mouth after waking either. I usually have a nasty taste in the morning when I brush with regular toothpaste the night before. I didn’t realize, outside of the fluoride part of regular toothpaste, how bad toothpaste really is for the mouth and teeth. Also I can eat right after brushing without having that chemical taste in my mouth from toothpaste.My teeth feel more polished and smooth. They are brighter as well. They sent a sample of their floss, and it really does expand. It can be a little challenging to pull through my teeth, but I would probably buy it. My dentist said I have a small carie on one tooth that didn’t need immediate attention, and I am hoping this powder can help remineralize my teeth to prevent further damage.

    I started brushing with this frau Fowler powder about a month ago and it has been a complete life saver. I recommend this product to anyone who struggles with dental heath or just want whiter teeth naturally in as little as a week. You don’t use any water with this, you just dab the brush in the tin and get to it. My teeth are no longer sensitive to cold or heat, and I no longer have any tooth pain what so ever,and all the tooth decay on my back teeth completely stopped.
